Modern Mormons

What is up my doods!? I can't believe I've already been in Chico 5 weeks! I get transfer boards in 6 days, Holy Guacamole!

We had a pretty fun week! We went to a farmer's market and bought some local art work. I don't know what it is, but people at farmers markets are so down to earth! They are just the coolest people! They were all interested in who we were. We went to the market after doing some service for a member and this guy at the farmer's market stopped and asked us, "So are you guys like modern Mormons?" and we were like... "No, no we just did some service for someone. Then the guy was like, "So you guys aren't trying to blend in?" and were like, "No. Just in our service clothes!" haha! I thought that was a kind of a funny question, "Modern Mormons" you thought big guy. 

We also met this couple selling this rock jewlery.  We were talking to them and they brought up our tags and were genuinely curious who we were. We told them that we were misionaries and that our pupose is to invite others to come unto Christ to help them recieve the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement. Using, reptentence, baptism and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. They were intrigued and kept asking us questions, and soon enough they were very appreciative of us and what we were doing. We invited them to attend church... they might not come but it was a cool experience. 

Something cool that happened is I met this local artist in Chico. He worked for Lucas Film which is FRICKIN AWESOME! And guess who got his signature, me, me, meeee!!! Guess what else!?  Austrailia is finally opeining their borders to all travelers on February 21st!  No word from the Visa department, but fingers crossed it is soon!
