Share What You Learn

Hey guys! Another week has past, that went by really quick! Time flies by on the mission. We had a really successful week! We found a family that wants to be baptized! Some of the kids aren't old enough, but the 2 oldest and the Mom are ready! They have a desire to go to church and want to come, I really hope they will be able to make it this week so they can see the true blessings from attending church. Nothing funny happened this week but a lot of good spiritual thoughts to share! My district leader, also my companion, Elder McCabe, does this thing at the beggining of every transfer. He has everyone in the district work on a Chirst-like attribute. Last transfer I chose to work on knowledge, because I'm pretty new to the mission and I wanted to feel comfortalble with the knowledge that I have while I go out and teach. A really cool insight that I learned was, if you read the Book of Mormon, Bible, conference talk, etc. and you learn something meaningful and something you take ...

What is up! Good news! I got my email to start my visa and I'm very excited! Soon enough you guys will be getting emails from the land down unda! Maybe I'll have some creepy crawlers in my photos It has been an interesting week! But it's transfers and I'm staying in Chico for this new transfer but now I'm in a trio with Elder Cabazos and Elder McCabe.  This is probably because I'm gonna be leaving here for Australia reaaaallll quick! This week we have a couple new people that we are teaching. One of them wants to be baptised! Her name is Sylvia and she has quite the story! Her husband was a professional athlete and he is a member, but then her husband got prostate cancer, and problems with his kidneys and I guess he almost died like 2 times but because of her faith in the Lord he is still alive today!  She has had so much service done for her as well, that our church left a good impression on her and she wants to get baptised and be sealed to her husband! It...

What is up my doods!? I can't believe I've already been in Chico 5 weeks! I get transfer boards in 6 days, Holy Guacamole! We had a pretty fun week! We went to a farmer's market and bought some local art work. I don't know what it is, but people at farmers markets are so down to earth! They are just the coolest people! They were all interested in who we were. We went to the market after doing some service for a member and this guy at the farmer's market stopped and asked us, "So are you guys like modern Mormons?" and we were like... "No, no we just did some service for someone. Then the guy was like, "So you guys aren't trying to blend in?" and were like, "No. Just in our service clothes!" haha! I thought that was a kind of a funny question, "Modern Mormons" you thought big guy.  We also met this couple selling this rock jewlery.  We were talking to them and they brought up our tags and were genuinely curious who we w...

What A Fishy Situation

Sorry guys I'm sending this out a day late! But it was a fun week! We have found 2 people to teach! The person we found was Billy. He is a christian but is willing to learn more about other beliefs so he can figure out for himself what is true. He is the nicest guy, he gave us a card game to play which was really nice of him! He has a lot of potential! The other person is Brittany Flander! She is a very nice lady! We were teaching the restoration with her and we were talking about Joseph Smith. And I brought up the scripture James 1:5. I asked if she would be willing to read it and she read it and was wow! I felt something when I read that! The word of God has power! Teaching through the scriptures is the way to go! She agreed to meet with us again! Very excited to keep meeting with her! Something funny that happened this week was we get apartment inspectors every transfer and they called us and said that they would like to come check of the cleanliness of the apartment, and of cou...
