Update From Gulfview Heights

Hello Everyone! This email is an update from two weeks ago. November 14-20th I'm a little behind schedule. Monday: Played some lazzzeerrr tag with the district! It was actually really fun! I hadn't played Lazer tag in a while but it was fun to do it with the other missionaries. My team got 1st twice out of 3 games, too good I guess. Tuesday: We had dinner with this awesome guy named Prassana Kumar! He's someone we are kind of teaching. We are still trying to figure out how interested he is, but he fed us some good butter chicken and Shepards pie. He's a super nice guy! He treats us like we are his kids, lol. Wednesday: We went to the temple, pretty awesome. Because ya know it's the temple. Thursday-saturday: We went up to Whyalla again. It was a good time as always. Had a nice long drive and a lot more driving when we got up there. We usually have some interesting stories that come from the Whyalla trips, but not this time! lol.  Sorry this one is kinda short. Jus...

Tickle Tickle

Oh oh ooooooh, g-day mates. Eh eh eh let's get into it.  My parents told me on the phone today that they have missed my Dad jokes, so I thought that I'd throw one out there today.  How many times do you have to tickle an octopus to make it laugh? Ten-tickles Of course it only has 8 of those  So the first 2 were test-tickles  Monday: We did some golfing on our P-day today at a golf range and I found out golfing is fetching hard and I'm absolute trash. I had one good drive and it was my last hit, that's all that matters. Improvement happened. But, it was a fun little driving range and I had a good time with the missionaries. It was nice to go and do something different for a change.  Tuesday: We did some service for this member in a different ward, we were helping some Elders out. That guys back yard just filled with spiders. I also went to mission office today to pickup the mail.  I was able to see my first grade teacher, Tracy Carr in the Mission offic...

Monday: We had a fun P-day with all the missionaries in our district.  We did an escape room. We bought the escape room from a game store locally and we set it up in one of the rooms in the chapel!  It was really fun and we really enjoyed doing it together.  We definitely want to do it again. It was a good way to spend Halloween! It was weird not seeing little kids going out trick or treating this Halloween because Australians don't really celebrate Halloween, but it's getting a little more popular every year.  Tuesday: We had exchanges with the Tea Tree Gully elders. We had a great exchange.  They are having a hard time finding new people to teach so Elder Marrett and I were really trying to focus on finding some people.  We prayed with sincere hearts, really trying to find these people and the spirit directed us to 2 people that day to teach. It was quite a miracle and I hope they can keep seeing miracles like that in their area. On the same day in our ar...

Letter

Holy fetch guys! Sorry for the late email! This is the catch-up letter to talk about last week! Monday: We had a funny one liner at dinner with this member family, called the Slekenics.  Bro. Slekenics: Here's this hot sauce called "sh*t the bed"  Us: *laughing* Bro. Slekenics: Trust me, don't do too much because it's called Sh*t the Bed for a reason, I've had experience!  Us: *laughing* Oh goodness! He's too much!! Tuesday: We just grindin, findin, and baptizin!  Wednesday: We had a great lesson with Uzziah today! He is so keen to be baptized, it's insane! He prays every night and we invite him to live commandments and he prays about it and stops the next day, literally insane. The strength and power of prayer is real if you have real intent and a sincere heart. Uzziah is a perfect example of that. We met later with some awesome member families that I love. They have kindest hearts and they want to help out. I'm really gonna miss this area when t...
