A Lot Of Stuff

Image
It's been about 3 weeks since I wrote my last email...a lot of stuff has happened.  So first let's talk about transfers. I have gotten a new companion straight from the MTC, Elder Burgess, he is from West Jordan Utah. He is big into music and loves playing the piano the best. He is also a great guitar player. I am finally training a new missionary. It has been a different experience so far. Definitely forgot about how I was fresh out of the MTC. It's been different having a companion adjusting to new missionary life. It is definitely helping me grow as a person in new ways. Especially patience, empathy, and charity. My  companion and I are very different people, but we make it work and get along just fine. It's been cool to see his talents and what he can bring to the table as a young missionary. I for sure miss my last companion Elder Keller! He was an amazing missionary so young in the mission. He was very sensitive to the spirit and diligent and quite a funny one ...

Nathan's Baptism!

We had a good week! Nathan got baptized! It was a great turn out at the baptism. All the members that are active were able to come and support! I got to baptize Nathan in a members pool which is pretty cool. The water was cold and the cold breeze didn't help after getting out of the pool, but it was a happy day for us and also for the branch. The branch hadn't seen a baptism in 4 years.  We have a new friend we are teaching. Her name is Sally. She was a member referral. Our member is blind but she is an amazing missionary! She is handing out Book of Mormons left and right. We teach Sally in Irene's home (the member). The spirit was very strong! Teaching in a member's home is the best place to teach. The spirit is so present and makes teaching the lesson much easier, lol. She already believes the Book of Mormon is true. She is already reading it and liking it a lot. The work in Berri is progressing well. I'm really looking forward to the next transfer! I got transfer...

Wow! What a week we had! It was awesome! Best qoute of the week: Elder Shepherd: Elder Bishop! If you scare me again, I'm going to kick you in the face! Meanwhile, I am hiding behind a door getting ready to scare Elder Shepher for the 3rd time that day. Lets just say I scared the living day lights out of him! It was one of my all time best scares of the mission. ...Shep the Wep shed a tear, lol. But, Holy Fetch! Elder Keller and I are literally sqeezing the juice out of Berri. We are working our booties off till they ache. We had a really good week. We found 4 people to teach and one of them wants to be baptized. We were able to get 5 member present lessons which is really good because we have an active branch of 11 people. We also manged to put 2 more people on date for baptism and of course another one in the coming days. So, we currently have 4 people on date for baptism! Nathan's baptism is this coming Saturday!! I've truly seen how hard work and following the spirit wo...
