Hello again! We had a long week but a lot of good things happened!

We started off the week going to a temple Endowment session for Brian Carol, a recent convert down in Antelope where Elder McCabe used to serve.  We had to get permission from our mission president to go to the temple because it's out of our mission. But, you know the temple is always an awesome experience, you can always feel the spirit in the temple, and for the first time I didn't fall asleep in the endowment session haha. We spent so much time in the car that day because it's like a little over 2 hours to get to the temple, so it was a long day, but we had a lot of fun!

We also had Zone Conference down in Yuba City! It was cool to drive into my last area I served in. Elder McCabe and I were an hour late. It was funny because we had it scheduled for 11 a while ago, Elder McCabe put it in the schedule a while ago thinking it was at that time for some reason so we showed up at the building at 10 because Elder McCabe had a meeting over the phone so we went " an hour early".  We go to the chapel and we haven't even walked in yet and we heard singing!! Elder McCabe and I look at each other just like... Ohhhhh Craaaappp!! Literally crapped my pants!! Then someone opened up the doors and missionaries started walking out and we went with the flow and no one even noticed LOL.

On Friday it was my 19th Birthday! and I had so much fun! Elder McCabe  and I went out for breakfast at the Morning Thunder Cafe! Yumm!  I got poppy seed french toast with hash browns and bacon and it was absolutley delicious! Then we went out for lunch at Smokin Moes BBQ. It was really good BBQ and the best brisket I've ever had. I took out my whole district and we had lots of fun! This was a gift my parents gave me for my birthday since we generally go out to eat as a family at home, so I took out my mission family! And, they know that I'm all about good food! lol. After that we went to the Mattern's house.  This is the great family that has us over a lot.  They have a missionary out too, so they are especailly good to us. They held a birthday dinner for me which was really awesome of them to do that. They are a really cool family and I appreciate them. They made carne asada burritos which were amazing, Brother Mattern smoked the carne asada, it was delicous. They also bought a cake and Elder McCabe smashed my face into it, what a goon!  Apparently, the face smash in the cake is a silly tradition of the Matterns, so they made us go along with it!  I looked like a clown. I had red frosting up my nose for the rest of the night. Whenever I would blow my nose, it was just red frosting. After that dinner we went straight to another dinner!  Holy cow!  We had tri tip steak and it was also really good...and they had cake too! I felt 9 months pregnant after all that food, I wanted to throw up, double booked dinners is not the way to go.

I also had a lot of people that remembered me from home on my birthday!  I recieved lots of fun birthday wishes to me, which was so kind and fun to receive. Thanks to the Grandparents and family for the cards and packages and thanks to all of you that thought of me on my birthday!  It was a great day!

I hope you guys I had a good week, if not, this week will be better.
-Elder Bishop
