Whom Ye Say That I Am?

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a nice week! I have some bad news, I am not in Aussie :(. turns out there was something wrong with Salt Lake's system, so they never saw my visa come through!  I had to resend it in just last week on Friday, so hopefully I hear very soon about my visa. Please pray with me that I will get my visa approved and be able to get to Australia. Love all of you guys.

This week was very busy! We had 18 lessons this week and that's quite a bit for an English area in California. We are going to put someone on date tomorrow so she can get baptized! Sara is doing so awesome and is such an awesome individual. She has a lot of dedication and is very faithful. She is trying to quit smoking, so please pray for Sara that she will have the strength to quit.  If you have any tips to help someone stop smoking, send those tips my way please!

I have loved being a missionary! There is nothing that I love more than being blessed with the power and authority of the priestood. Just being able to testify so powerfully to the people here in Chico is such a blessing and I love it.

Something that just popped in my head as I have been typing this email is a Bible story in Matthew Chapter 16.
Matthew 16:13-16

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

I LOVE THESE VERSES SO MUCH! The reason why is because it shows that his disciples have a personal testimony of who Jesus Christ is. I teach so many people in Chico and they all have their beliefs off of what other people and what's on the internet. Please do not gain any personal beliefs off the internet. There is a reason why we pray to our Heavely Father! There is a reason why the Holy Ghost can speak truth to us! That is because we MUST ask in SINCERE HEART FELT PRAYER to our Heavely Father if Jesus is the Christ or if Jospeh Smith is a prophet of God, or if the Book of Mormon is true. God has given us tools to USE them, not to think about them but to use them for our spiritual growth, to gain everlasting life and to know how we can have exaltation. If anyone on here is reading this right now and is struggling with their personal testimony, this is for you :) I invite you with my whole heart to ask your loving Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true or if Jesus is the Christ the Son of God and if Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. The spirit testifys in your heart and mind the truth of all things, as you pray, look for that feeling. If you have FAITH that you can recieve an answer through the Holy Spirit you will find that answer.

Brothers and Sisters, I love this gospel, I have never had so much joy in my life than preaching the truth to everyone. I love all of you guys!  Please make sure to wish your moms a Happy Mother's Day and tell them that you love them.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Love,
Elder Bishop

100 years ago everyone owned a horse and only the rich had cars.
Today everyone has cars and only the rich own horses.
