Oh Schnit!

Yoooooo!

Sorry I didn't write a letter last week, my motivation to writing letters has gone down a lot if you can't tell. This is going to be a longer one because a lot of stuff happend the past 2 weeks. It's lots of good stuff so this one is going to be a novel yaaaaa! Hope you enjoy!

So I got a new companion! Flipping awesome companion, Elder Gottfredson. It feels like it's been a while since I've had a companion that I can just have fun and work really hard with! Elder Gottfredson is from Maryland and was previously serving in the St. George, Utah mission while waiting to get over here.  We actually flew into Australia together, and we were both at the MTC at the same time so we have been out the same amount of time.  We should hit our year marks together... we'll see! This transfer, so far, has been some of the best missionary work that I've done in my whole mission and the most enjoyable missionary work I've done just because Elder Gottfredson. He and I are very similar personality wise. The first half of the week, right before transfers was dumb lol, because Elder McBride just pushed my buttons until we weren't comps anymore. I just wanted to.. But, the second half was great, worked hard, had fun, not really any success but was fun. But it's the second week that's the best oooooh yaaaaaa

onto the second week...

This week we found so much success! Elder Gottfredson and I have been hitting the doors like crazy! We keep meeting people from all of these different places in the world...Hungarians, Greeks, Indonesians, Phillipinos, Czech Republic, Tongans, Somoans, Afghan's, etc. Soooo many people from so many different countries. They are all so much nicer than Australians lol, Sad to say, but Australians are very closed off. But from my experience so far, all of the other cultures are very kind and welcoming and let you in their door and feed you and talk to you about the gospel. We found an Aboriginal family that we are gonna start teaching this Friday! The spirit confirmed to me that they are very promising. Then, while door knocking, we ran into this Czech lady with her friend and she invited us in and fed us ginger bread cookies and lemonade. She said she would be interested in coming to church and checking out the chapel, which is great! We're gonna go back and invite her this week. We also ran into this really nice lady that wasn't interested but she told us where a good souvenier shop is, so I bought an Aussie wallet and a kangaroo tie and some stickers. Ill put some pictures of the stuff I bought. I'll probably go back in the future to get some more stuff because there's a lot of good souveniers in there. Later in the week, we ran into this family. The mom's name is Lana and her daughter Hannah wanted to come to the mutual nights for the youth. So a couple days later we had a member that signed up to drop food off for us and she happened to be a young women's leader! It was perfect because we told her to meet us at Lana and Hannah's house and then Sister D and Lana could chat it up.  It was great so we invited Lana to church and her daughter Hannah to Mutual. There's some potential in those two, we will see how it goes.

The best part of the week was that we went out to lunch with the APs to the Pickled Duck. It sounds weird, but it's all normal food. I was able to get a schnitty! It was amazing, I'll put a picture of it. It's this massive piece of deep fried chicken with toppings on top of it. I got the Hot Mess Mexican toppings, so that includes... sour cream, guac, salsa, and Jalepenoes. It was delicious. The other part about that lunch being the best part of my week was that we were with the APs.  I love the APs of the mission because one of them is my MTC comp Elder Nelson and he's a flipping G! Elder Anderson, his comp is "Mister Buisness", if you joke around with him and he just tells you, "You're something else," with a smile.  One day I'm gonna get that guy to laugh.

Have a blessed week!
