Someone Say Miracles?
Highlights from Last Week:
Had a nice P-Day last week, played some really fun games with some other Elders. We played Citadales and Selfish. They were both really fun and I highly reccomend them for anyone that likes card games/board games. We played chair soccer and I went flipping ham and kicked everyone's booties so hard that I pulled my thigh muscle! Can I get a RIP in the chat? But I'm fine though. Still grinding, finding, and baptizing. It was also Labor Day here in Australia that day, so all the shops were closed except for a couple restraunts. So we had no food, lol.
We went on exchanges up to Whyalla again! That was super fun! We went up for a couple days and a member up there needed help in his junk yard... so basically he just has this huge plot of land that he is filtering junk out of the dirt, so we helped with that. It was pretty fun but we got fetching dirty! haha. He had a couple of CAT machines to help move around and dig up the dirt so it was a little easier for us to get all the garbage out of the dirt.
Whyalla also had a baptism the next day which was awesome, so we stayed for the baptism. It was the baptism of someone I found with Elder Hranicky on exchanges last time when we were in Whyalla, Boom! The baptism went really well! It's always really awesome to see how happy people are on their baptism day. Making that covenant with God blesses your life greatly.
Now to this week...
We went up to Port Pirie to do exchanges and we had Loads of fun! We got stuffed at this nice chicken restruant. I ate half a chicken and a bunch of chips with gravy on them, flipping delicious! Did about 6 hours of driving that day because the Port Pirie area is gigantic, so we were driving to the botton of their area to find some members and found no one because they all moved, lol. But, they had a baptism as well and we helped set up for that. The person that was baptized was someone that Elder Montmeny found in Port Pirie last transfer which was really awesome for Elder Montmenty to see Adam again up there in Port Pirie. Adam is a really good painter. I enjoyed talking to him about that because ya know, I like to do that stuff, too. They had a barbeque after the baptism and the food was absolutely yuuuuummmmmyyyyyy.
When we got back to our area, we went door knocking with YSA kids preparing to go on a mission. We found a street to knock and started knocking ya know, and no one wanted to talk to us. We were like, "Spirit, lead us, guide us, and walk beside us." So I was like let's go left, and then I felt like we should take another left, and then felt like the first door on the left was the right one and I was like... "Why the Frick this door? I've knocked it twice already, and they never answer. So I was just like, "What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger, right?" lol. I knocked it, and this guy answered the door and said, "OMG MISSIONARIES, THAT'S SO COOL! YOU'RE MISSIONARIES!"
I was like, have you talked to missionaries before and he said, No! We stated our purpose and he said we came at the right time because all this crap is happening in his life and has been seeking God for help and doesn't know how or what to do. Then he said, "I was asleep and I heard the door. I usually wouldn't answer but I really felt like I should, and I'm so glad I did!"
The Lord literally blessed us with this golden dude. Miracles happen, seek and expect them.
Love,
Elder Bishop
