Letter

Holy fetch guys! Sorry for the late email! This is the catch-up letter to talk about last week!

Monday:

We had a funny one liner at dinner with this member family, called the Slekenics.

Bro. Slekenics: Here's this hot sauce called "sh*t the bed"

Us: *laughing*

Bro. Slekenics: Trust me, don't do too much because it's called Sh*t the Bed for a reason, I've had experience!

Us: *laughing*

Oh goodness! He's too much!!

Tuesday:

We just grindin, findin, and baptizin!

Wednesday:

We had a great lesson with Uzziah today! He is so keen to be baptized, it's insane! He prays every night and we invite him to live commandments and he prays about it and stops the next day, literally insane. The strength and power of prayer is real if you have real intent and a sincere heart. Uzziah is a perfect example of that.

We met later with some awesome member families that I love. They have kindest hearts and they want to help out. I'm really gonna miss this area when the Lord has me leave. It's too good.

Thursday:

We had an Mission Leadership Council meeting. We had some general authorities come and help us know how to establish a culture in our mission of unconditional love. It's hard to be loving as a leader when you have to correct people often on things they're doing wrong. Especially if you're me and you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But they taught us that you won't hurt the missionary if you teach the missionary just like the Savior did to his disciples. If we teach like the Savior, we are teaching with unconditional love. My companion, Elder Montmeny, is the most charitable person ever, so he's very good at it.  I'm grateful to learn from his example.

Friday:

We had zone conference! It went really great. The general authorities came and gave some great trainings. They explained that we all have to be one in unison. We all have to be obedient and work as hard as we can together to get the Savior's work done. We have to work together. And we do that by loving each other and being willing to learn from each other. I loved it and appreciated that they pointed that out because when I try, sometimes missionaries don’t like to listen to me.

Saturday:

We did a lot of planning today and to make it a little more exciting we went to the store quickly before to get some ice cream bars. Now, these ice cream bars were something else. They were Cadbury Carmelo Carmel. Ooooooh fetch!! I rejoiced when I ate them, they were delicious! Weekly planning was 10 times better! Definitely gonna do it again.

Sunday:

Holy fetch, this amazing family, the Saunders! They fed us mexican tacos and burritos. We requested it last time we went over and she said she would have us over again for mexican! Let me tell ya, it was delicious! Mom, it reminded me of your cooking, too fricking good! The best mexican food you can find here in Australia because news flash…you can’t find it here.

Until the next letter!

Love,

Elder Bishop
