Anyways to the week.
Monday: We had a fun zone P-day which doesn't happen very often here. We played some fun games such as... Ballon game, capture the flag and white elephant. The Balloon game is the best. Everyone ties a balloon to their ankle and runs around in a free for all. The object of the game is to try and be the last person standing without your balloon popped. It was a lot of fun. My companion won, I didn't, but that's ok because I was running around with a squirt gun and idk if that's allowed.
Tuesday: I was on exchanges this day with the 2 greenies from Port Pirie. We were slaying out the Gulfview Heights area. It was fun being in a trio with 2 greenies. I love to help people improve and to show a good example. I enjoyed it a lot. We played a lot of Skull King at night, it's a fun card game that I learned. That game is so fun but, it's flipping hard. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend the game.
Wednesday: We were supposed to exchange back, but then their trainer got a bad migraine. This became an issue because my companion can't drive and it's a really long drive, so driving with a migraine would be terrible. So we had fun for one more day.
Thursday: We had a fun lunch with one of the member families. We challenged them to give their neighbor a Plan of Salvation pamphlet because they had recent deaths in the family. So, maybe something cool will come out of it. We had a lesson with our friend Dzuy who is returning back to church. He gave us these taro cakes. Taro is basically a bland potato. It also had one of the stinkiest fruits in the cake as well. When my companion and I opened them, Peewwhwee Zooooiemama they were stinky!!! But, I ate it and it tasted fine! LOL My companion didn't like it at all! He ate most of it so as not to be rude, but when we left, he almost threw up walking to the car. I was laughing my face off. Then we start driving and I had to pull over a few times for him to almost puke. Then when we got home, he went straight to the toilet and puked. Let's just say it did not sit well in his stomach. Poor Tui!
Friday: Nothing too exciting, just MLC
Saturday: OK, I need to give you a little background before I get to the story. So me and the other missionaries were talking to my companion about what meat they eat in Tonga and he said they eat dog! Everyone was like... I could never eat a dog and he was just like, it's completely normal! He said, sometimes my neighbors didn't like my dog, so one afternoon they killed it and ate it. Weird! Anyways, we were out finding people to teach and sometimes people have dogs that don't shut the heck up at the door. They just bark your ear off. We were trying to talk to this lady and her big dog was just so loud we couldn't communicate so we said G-day and started going to the next door. Right as this woman closed the door my companion says to me, "that dog looked really tasty" Bruh! I laughed my pants off!! Then after that we found an Aboriginal family later in the day to teach! Woohooo, we found someone!! Going back on Tuesday.
Sunday: New Years Day! Fun day.
Hope everyone saw the new post by President Russel M. Nelson about how to go about new year resolutions. Take a look if you haven't, Happy New Year
