Nathan's Baptism!
We had a good week!
Nathan got baptized! It was a great turn out at the baptism. All the members that are active were able to come and support! I got to baptize Nathan in a members pool which is pretty cool. The water was cold and the cold breeze didn't help after getting out of the pool, but it was a happy day for us and also for the branch. The branch hadn't seen a baptism in 4 years.
We have a new friend we are teaching. Her name is Sally. She was a member referral. Our member is blind but she is an amazing missionary! She is handing out Book of Mormons left and right. We teach Sally in Irene's home (the member). The spirit was very strong! Teaching in a member's home is the best place to teach. The spirit is so present and makes teaching the lesson much easier, lol. She already believes the Book of Mormon is true. She is already reading it and liking it a lot. The work in Berri is progressing well. I'm really looking forward to the next transfer!
I got transfer news. I'm staying as the District Leader in Berri, but I will also be training a brand new missionary. I have no idea what his name is or who he is at all, but I will find out in a couple days. Elder Keller is very sad to leave and it will be sad to see him go. He is an awesome companion and really down to work hard. We had a really fruitful transfer! Looking forward to another fruitful transfer with my greenie! Elder Keller is going to Victor Harbour which is a very nice area with an awesome branch and he will be training a brand new missionary as well. He will do great out there.
An update about Courtney from my last email. She has decided to go back to the other church. From what I know, she isn't getting baptized with them. She had been helping out the other church so much that they guilted her back so she felt like she had to go back because of how much guilt she had for not helping them out so much. Hopefully she changes her mind again. We will see what happens. But there are very elect people to be found in Berri and my greenie and I are gonna find them. The branch really needs more support and also a lot more men and priesthood. Our branch is basically old women. It will get better. The Lord will provide a way through our faith and as miracles are brought to pass.
I'm excited to watch conference. Because of the time difference, Australians don't watch it unitl the next weekend. I hope it was great for all of you.
Love,
-Elder Bishop
