Its Been A While

Oh boy! you are probably wondering where Elder bishop went. Did he die? Ha, no I'm alive and ready to tell you about the past few weeks!

We have found a lot of success lately. We have built up a really good teaching pool. We seem to keep finding single moms with kids which is awesome! We found this lady, Glenda, who has a couple kids. She's pretty busy and we aren't too much of a priority to her right now, but she has a lot of potential to progress if she can get an answer to know if the Book of Mormon is true. We also found this really nice lady named Tash. She has 4 kids that have so much energy holy cow! But they are super fun but Tash just gets super run down by them because she's a single mom. We are trying to help her to know if the Book of Mormon is true or not as well.  She believes it is awesome. We were able to answer a couple questions she had with the Book of Mormon. Tash and her kids came to a taco night that we held at the chapel and it was awesome and they loved it. Their kids had a blast and Tash loved the movie we showed. The movie was made by the church, it's called The testaments. It was great to show because it shows how the Book of Mormon and the Bible both talk about Jesus Christ.

We also had a baptism for our friend Richie! He has been taught by missionaries for 5 years and he finally decided he will pay his tithing even though he really doesn't want to. He decided that it's what God wants him to do. He made a lot of progress and saw answers to his prayers and started reading the Book of Mormon as well which he had never done. He gets really bored at church, but we are helping him to receive the Aaronic priesthood so he can help with the sacrament so he has some way of participating. We did his baptism down at the Berri Rowing Club in the river! It was freezing! Luckily I wasn't the one baptising him. He wanted Elder Keller to do it, my last companion. So Elder Keller and Richie froze their booty cheeks off together. It's winter here in South Australia, so not great timing for an outdoor baptism, but we are so happy for Richie!

We also saw this amazing miracle on Mother's day. As it was Sunday, we invited our friend Cat to chruch like we have in the past, but she never showed up. We felt that we should invite her again. We had a lesson with her and invited her and she said yes, I will be there. She actually ended up coming! But even better, she brought both of her daughters and one of the daughter's boy friend! Holy fetch! It was a full Sacrament meeting! It was amazing! So many miracles are happening here in Berri! It will honestly be sad to leave.

We got transfer news as well, and the transfer news was that the transfer was being extended by 2 weeks. Bruh! I was so mad that they didn't tell us earlier (a little background with me and transfer calls) I get so anxious and have lots of adrenaline and I literally start sweating sometimes because I just don't know what's gonna happen, and so i was like, oh transfer calls! its gonna be great, while I'm anxious as literally clenching my booty cheeks to the max waiting to hear if I'm getting transfered or not and all we get is, "the transfer is being extended". EmOtIonAaaalL DaAMagE!! but I can be patient for another 2 weeks haha. Elder Burgess and I have just been grinding and finding and baptizing ya know? and we ain't gonna stop because it's the Lords will. I am speed... Kachoow!

PS: Back story of the dress in the pics.  My trainer in Roseville California gave me this dress after he finished training me.  He told me to pass it on to my first greenie.  I guess he got it from his trainer too!  Elder Burgess decided to take it for a spin : )
